Samaritan Health is Hiring an Admission Nurse Near Center, NY
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Previous hospital RN experience is preferred. Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles. Ability to provide quality patient care, and ability to assess patient’s needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual. Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to and move patients in a safe manner. Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required. Must be proficient in IV therapy and assist with IV access interventions. Current NYS RN license or eligible. BLS required or obtained within 3 months. ACLS and PALS preferred. IV certified within six months of employment. Required to function as a second licensed RN for PACU on call hours. Assist with discharges facilitating patient flow. Competent in contrast media injection, administers injections for patients needing radiologic exams.
